Fix: Allow protocols again Registering multiple dispatching functions that were typed using a protocol failed with `TypeError: metaclass conflict: the metaclass of a derived class must be a (non-strict) subclass of the metaclasses of all its bases`. This was working previously in version 2.0, and is a regression in 2.1. I revert the line causing the issue.
